Wonderful World of Music

Music is pure. Music is what keeps us alive, it helps us to flourish. Its melodious sounds fill us with love and enjoyment. For many people music is a key that give them some relaxation from boring day-to-day errands. But for true lovers of music, it’s a passion and a necessity. They don’t just listen to music; they live and breathe for music.

Music is an art of coiffing sounds in periodic time so as to produce an incessant, unified and reminiscent opus, as through melody, harmony, rhythm, and quality. For music lovers it is a form of energy. It is the magical stone and the magical mists living side by side. Music is the chirping of birds; is the grass beneath the cracked shells. Music is found everywhere. It is present in every creation of the God.

It is the food of all moods. There are several musical styles ranging from heavy classical and opera to rock to Broadway musicals to gospel music to the blues. Each style has its place, and each seems to be radically different than another form of music. But all styles of music have at least three things in common that are melody, rhythm and harmony.

The melody is the part of a song or composition or in simple words it is the tune of song. Without melody, it would be difficult to even envisage a song. Melody is written in the treble clef. It comprises a horizontal line of notes that move up and down on the clef as the tune moves higher or lower. Rhythm is the beat of the music. It happens in repeating patterns, depending upon the type of music. Harmony is the musical background of a song. Without harmony, a song sounds evacuate.
